Backups can cause great harm if they end
up in the wrong hands. This is why BackUp Maker offers
password protection to safeguard your sensitive data.
Option: Use password protection
Enable the Use password protection
checkbox if you wish to protect your backup with a
password. Do not forget your password - without it,
you will not be able to restore your data!
Input box: Password
Enter your password here.
Passwords are case-sensitive. Make sure you
remember which letters are in upper and which in
lower case! Note that without the correct
password you will not be able to restore your
data from the backup.

In order to safeguard against
typing errors, please enter your password a
second time.
Option: Encryption
Here you can select type and
encryption strength. To obtain best and secure
encryption according to international standards
you should use AES encryption with 256-Bit.
Option:
Request confirmation before backup
This checkbox gives you the
opportunity, before every automatic backup, to
manually confirm whether you wish this to go ahead.
If you leave the checkbox disabled, BackUp Maker
initiates the automatic backup without requesting a
confirmation from you.
